Palm Sunday

All three of our weekend Masses began with the blessing of palms and procession into church. We were blessed with beautiful weather.

Holy Thursday

The Mass of the Lord's Supper was celebrated at St Agnes' Church. Representatives from the three parishes had their feet washed by Father James during the reading of the gospel and gifts were presented in the offertory procession, including oils that had been blessed at the Chrism Mass at the Cathedral earlier in the day, offerings from Missio red boxes and Cafod boxes, as well as bread and wine. At the end of the Mass, the Blessed Sacrament was taken to the altar of repose, where parishioners watched until 10:00pm.

Good Friday

The Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord was celebrated in all three parishes at 3:00pm. Here are some photos taken at St Barnabas', where the service was led by Deacon Chris, and St Agnes', led by Father James.

The Easter Vigil

This Mass was celebrated at St Barnabas' Church, Rowlands Gill.  Members of all three parishes took an active part in the liturgy, which began outside in the church grounds, with the blessing of the new fire.

Easter Sunday

Mass on Easter Morning was celebrated at Crawcrook and Chopwell.  Here are some photos from St Agnes', Crawcrook: at the end of Mass, there was an Easter Egg tombola. with proceeds to St Cuthbert's Care; there was also an Easter Egg hunt for the children in the church garden.  At the 11:00 Mass at Chopwell, Paul Elliot Kowalczyk and Karen Margaret Bell were received into the Church, and the Sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Communion.
